About
I have been singing, playing and teaching piano, trumpet, organ, voice, and trumpet for over 40 years. With three degrees in music––bachelor's, master's, and doctorate––I can help music students of all ages and ability levels. I have performed at classical, jazz, and commercial venues including Disney World, Opryland, Holland American Line ships, Johnny Mathis, and Fenway Park for the Red Sox. My professional experience means that you get instruction with technique that you can use. My institutional teaching experience includes public school (grades 1-12) and universities including Harvard, where I received three teaching awards.

He was extremely flexible in letting me lead the direction I wanted to move in terms of my growth as a Pianist, from reading classical sheet music to Jazz improv. Dr. Leach is extremely knowledgeable and was always able to offer useful advice while also keeping lessons fun and engaging.
An excellent teacher with profound knowledge, and years of performance experience. His passion for music, keen observance of student’s potentials and timely guidance makes Dr. Jimmy leach makes his class such a unique and delightful journey.
