About Mario
Hi, my name is Mario and I am a 4th year mathematics student at Lancaster University.
Growing up I had missed about 4 years of my education (years 1-3 and most of 4) which put me in quite a vulnerable position at the start of my academic journey. Most teachers did not project me to go very far and I was often told to be realistic in my expectation. But from looking where I am now, I guess I was right to be an optimist and aim high despite the challenges I faced. My aim is to provide accessible help to those who need it. Whether you come from disadvantaged background or not, I hope to inspire you to be an optimist like myself and achieve beyond your expectation.
My interests: Vaguely, I am quite interested in learning more about Quantum theory and the possible interaction it may have with AI and/or intelligence in general.

I believe to be successful in Mathematics, it needs a lot of effective practice with carefully chosen examples to acquire the necessary understanding. Once a student begins to understand a concept, that satisfaction stimulates the student to learn more and really appreciate the art.
My qualifications:
- GCSE; Maths A*, Further Maths A*
- A Level; Maths A*, Further Maths A
- MSci Hons Mathematics (predicted) 1st Class
I am fairly new at tutoring, although I have had some experience with mentoring younger students during my A levels.
I am happy to accept students at all level and ages. The typical length of a lesson would be an hour (but this can be flexible to cater to the students needs) delivered online through Teams.
