Wanting to do something is the quickest way to learn and make progress. It doesn't matter how old you are or how successful you have been in the past, if you have the desire to learn then that is all you really need. I cater my teaching to your individual needs and requirements, and pride myself on creating a learning environment that is both fun and rewarding.
I have a PhD in theoretical physics and I have worked at first-class universities including Imperial College and Warwick University. I have extensive knowledge of physics, mathematics and computing and I have taught successfully for many years. I am available to teach up to degree level in the Oxford area.
My approach to teaching is very flexible, of course, depending on the area of teaching. More often it would be verbal and practical, in the aspect that we would solve problems and then review them afterwards. However I would use outside resources as well, this would include videos, texts, lectures, presentations and powerpoints too.
I like to keep lessons as relaxed as possible to keep the learning stress free. However, I also want the student to achieve as much as possible. Therefore, in the first lesson I go through a list of general questions highlighting areas that need more work and those that the student likes and dislikes. From there I create a series of lesson plans.
I can give lessons to students in year 11 (GCSE) or below. I can set and mark practise questions, help with homework, explain difficult topics, or provide and mark past papers.
I am currently completing my first year of A-Levels, having been through the new GCSE Maths, English Language and English Literature, I believe that I can fully understand the current concerns of students regarding these changes to the courses.
I'm a physics student at Cardiff University willing to give help with physics and maths to absolutely everyone! Teaching can be given from GCSE to A-Level. My primary teaching method is to run through examples of area which the student is struggling and to answer any questions they have about the material.
My teaching procedure will be introducing new materials, accompanying with relevant exercise. After a few chapters of new knowledge, I will give you a small test checking if you understand. After a whole course, I will summarise all the information you have to know and give you a few more tests on the knowledge you know.
I like to teach via the Socratic Method pedagogy. This involves asking questions to encourage the formulation of answers as the true learning outcome. This is especially important in the subjects I wish to teach as concepts shouldn't just be remembered but understood to provide a solid foundation for future modules.
I provide lessons in Maths and Further Maths and Physics up to A-Levels, I specialised with OCR MEI for A-Level Maths and Further Maths. Furthermore I did the new style A-Level for Physics (OCR A) so I can tailor specific to your exam board whatever the level.
My teaching method is simplifying things and using real life examples which make learning fun and interesting. Also encouraging students to practice as much as possible.
I am currently in my first year as a chemistry student at Imperial College London, having studied Chemistry maths and physics at A-level, getting A*A*A respectively. This means I am familiar with the new style A-levels and also understand the new style maths GCSE due to tutoring my brother throughout last year.
Hi. I'm Joe and I'm here to help you navigate the challenges of GCSE or A Level Maths or Physics. I have a degree in Physics, a passion for Maths and a wealth of experience using both in real life situations.

I'm a Natural Sciences graduate of the University of Cambridge. I got an A* in A Level Maths and Further Maths and would love to help you with your maths, whether you're revising for exams or just struggling with maths. I specialise in helping students to revise effectively, explain things clearly and engagingly.
I base my lessons on the specification and ensure the student understands the first principles and builds knowledge from a good foundation. Extra details and techniques to help achieve the top grade.
I teach primarily secondary school and sixth from student maths. I would generally ask the student what they would like to get out of the tutoring sessions. From there I would either teach the fundamental background theory or guide students through exam style questions depending on what I thought was needed.
I am an experienced research scientist and high school teacher all in one. I teach chemistry and sciences from KS3 to A Levels. I tailor each lesson to the students needs, from revision to teaching the whole curriculum I listen to the students needs and work with him or her to reach there own goals.
I base my teaching methods on Bruner's Spiral curriculum where students are initially taught the basics where they are built upon as the student becomes more experienced. Students generally benefit from this method which has shown great success over the years I have been teaching.
I approach each topic on its own merits but encourage the student to think for themselves, and create the best way for them to learn and progress. Lessons will vary but I prefer the student to be very much involved rather than me simply dictating. I am an approachable individual that tries to make learning enjoyable.
Can teach any types of math from primary school level up to Sixth Form - very flexible and good value. I would normally like to go through questions with students but can also teach methods if thats what the student wants.
My lessons involve having a go! My students often lack confidence so sparking their interest with meaningful, real-life examples is key. In a relaxed environment I encourage students to "teach" me the methods so they can show their understanding.
I tend to begin initial lessons by going through a past paper and seeing what the struggles are with, or if the pupil has particular struggles I start with them as I am not concerned with what is already understood. Throughout the course of teaching, I try and cover as much by producing my own worksheets with multiple examples to provide maximum understanding.
I have a BA in Physics (a 1st) and an MEng in Computer Science (a distinction) from Cambridge. I enjoy teaching, especially online teaching. I excel at helping struggling students with their approach to homework, problem sets, and exam practice.
