About Ross
I have been an Academic English and Skills tutor since 2018 and have worked at leading British institutions such as LJMU, Durham and Conventry universities. I generally work with international students teaching them how to write effective essays, as well as developing other areas such as listening, speaking and reading.

My methodology is 'learner centred'. This means that I listen to you and respond directly to your needs, rather than simply telling you what I think you need to hear. I very much believe in the maxim 'you forget what you are taught but remember what you learn' and this principle guides my teaching. In other words, my role is for you to become an independent learner. Recently, I have become a huge fan of 'learning technologies', and actively integrate these into my teaching style.
