About Howard
With 12 years of teaching experience, I am committed to helping students become confident flute players through patience, encouragement, and quality instruction. I teach school and college students and believe every learner deserves a supportive environment where they can grow at their own pace.
My lessons begin with breathing techniques, posture, finger placement, rhythm, scales, tone production, and articulation before introducing advanced musical expression and performance skills. I enjoy seeing students achieve their goals through dedication and regular practice.
Besides flute, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm practice, beginner music history, and performance preparation. My goal is to help every student build strong musical foundations and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

I teach flute with the belief that every student learns differently. My teaching methodology combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to create lessons that match each student's individual needs.
Lessons focus on developing breathing control, posture, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and tone production before progressing to articulation, scales, improvisation, dynamics, musical expression, and performance techniques.
Motivation keeps students interested and excited about learning. Communication allows me to explain every concept in simple English with practical demonstrations. Integrity helps me create a supportive environment where students feel respected and encouraged.
Creative teaching includes favorite melodies, classical compositions, rhythm games, ear training, listening exercises, duet practice, and musical storytelling. Besides flute, I also teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, sight reading, rhythm practice, and ear training.
