About Tessa
As a Piano tutor with 8 years of experience, I enjoy helping students unlock their creativity and achieve their musical ambitions. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals, offering lessons that are personalized, engaging, and focused on results.
My teaching philosophy is based on communication, adaptability, and continuous learning. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and I work to develop those strengths through structured and supportive instruction.
Students in my classes learn piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, and performance preparation. I also teach effective practice habits that encourage steady improvement.
In addition to Piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals and music reading. These skills help students become more confident performers and develop a deeper understanding of music.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel inspired to grow, overcome challenges, and enjoy every stage of their musical development.

My teaching methodology combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and continuous support. I believe every student has the ability to succeed when learning takes place in a friendly and encouraging environment. Every lesson is planned according to the student's learning pace and personal goals.
Students first master posture, hand position, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These skills prepare them for advanced topics including scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, expressive performance, and stage preparation.
I explain lessons through practical demonstrations and encourage students to ask questions and practice regularly. Personalized feedback and progress reviews help students improve steadily while maintaining confidence.
Students learn songs from different genres and participate in creative activities such as improvisation, accompaniment, and musical interpretation. These experiences help develop confidence and artistic expression.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, ear training, rhythm exercises, music theory, music appreciation, sight reading, and performance preparation. These supporting subjects strengthen both technical ability and musical understanding.
My goal is to provide inspiring lessons that help students enjoy learning, achieve steady progress, and develop a lifelong passion for piano and music.
