About Jake
I am a fully accredited Mindfulness Teacher, trained through the Mindfulness Now programme developed by Nick Cooke. This innovative approach combines elements of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), making it adaptable to a range of needs.
I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness for over seven years, and it has transformed many areas of my life, including my sense of well-being and confidence. This personal transformation inspired me to become a mindfulness teacher, so I can help others experience these same benefits.
In addition to my mindfulness training, I hold an MSc in Psychology (Conversion) from Queen Mary University of London. This academic background has deepened my understanding of the mind and the principles of cognitive therapies, which are reflected in the Mindfulness Now programme.
I work with individuals and groups, helping those who are looking to reduce stress, enhance focus, or simply improve their overall well-being and confidence. In my teaching, I aim to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore mindfulness at their own pace.

I use a variety of tools and techniques from the Mindfulness Now program developed by Nick Cooke, which I am accredited to teach. This program integrates elements from both the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) approaches.
In our sessions, we’ll practice different forms of awareness, explore both formal and informal mindfulness practices, and incorporate cognitive techniques. I also use poems and short stories to help bring mindfulness concepts to life, making the experience rich and accessible.

All sessions are offered in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Each session is approximately one hour long. In our initial session, we’ll set goals and identify the best starting point for you. Together, we’ll create a tailored plan for future sessions to support these goals. After each practice, there will be time for reflection, and I’ll suggest home practices. Each session will start with a check-in to discuss any reflections or challenges with the home practices, ensuring you feel supported throughout the process.
These lessons are suitable for all levels of practice and can be adapted for beginners as needed.
