About Margaret
Graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire refined my ear to hear every nuance of a guitar string. The smell of cedar wood and the tactile grit of steel strings under my fingertips remain my constant daily motivation. I have taught 240 students, ranging from kids starting their first chord to intermediate learners refining their electric technique. My teaching covers ABRSM or Trinity grades and the theory required for serious playing.
I work with advanced learners and hobbyists alike to ensure every session feels productive. You can expect a structured approach that draws on my background as a conservatory trained musician.

Struggling with messy chord transitions keeps many players from ever finishing a full song. It is a common frustration. To fix this, I utilise the rigorous 5 years of experience I gained in the industry to simplify complex movements like barre chords. For my advanced learners and kids, we break down strumming patterns into manageable chunks that build confidence.
My degree from Trinity Laban ensures that every bit of theory or ear training we discuss has a solid foundation in musical logic. We look at tuning and maintenance to make sure your instrument is always ready for the stage. Each month, I provide a recorded review of your progress so you can actually hear your own development. This process keeps you on track as we move through ear training and electric technique together, because consistent growth is the only way to play better
