About Matthew
Hey there! My name is Matthew. I am a 23 year old from St. Louis, MO. I currently work for a financial advising firm remotely in Homewood, and my summer job is living out in the mountains of California running a whitewater rafting program. Guitar has been one of my best friends for years. I've had students from every age and from all over the world. I love to see people learn new things and reach goals they didn't know they could do. I have a very flexible schedule to fit whatever times work best for you.

I have been in education for the past 7 years and have played guitar for the past 8 years. It doesn't matter what your age is or if you have tried to start playing before, I am confident we can get you excited to pick up your guitar and strum away to any of your favorite songs. Whether you want to be a campfire player or know the music theory and technique behind it all, I want to set you up to be the type of player that you want to be and fall in love with the instrument.

Perfect! I liked that Matthew took the time to understand how I thought of the guitar before we even got into how to hold or play it. He allowed me to mess up and I appreciate that as small as it seems. I also liked that it didn’t feel like something I wanted to rush through and be done with. I would like to take another class with him.
