About Katy
I studied violin classically and have then gone on to work as a violinist within a broad range of settings and genres. This has given me a passion for fostering a joy and love for music making as well as a confident instrumental ability.

I can teach lessons between 30 - 90 minutes depending on availability and personal preference. I can help students work towards an exam - perfecting pieces and technical studies as well as practicing for aural tests. Or I can help students to more broadly develop musicality and instrumental technique - possibly focusing on improvisation/music theory/ensemble playing etc.
I have experience teaching students of all ages and will happily adapt my style of teaching to the individual.
