About Olivia
Do you feel like your voice gets stuck in your throat when you try to hit the high notes? I typically work with kids, teens, and adults who want to find their natural sound.
My journey began in the American South as a gigging singer and guitarist. I have taught 318 students over the course of 13 years. My degree from the University of Southern California grounds my technique in serious theory. I focus on the gospel and blues tradition.
I keep things casual and warm during our time together. I believe in your ability to grow. You will find that my approach is always supportive and lighthearted.

The first sound you make in our studio will likely be a soft hum that vibrates against your teeth. We start by addressing your breathing control and warm up exercises to release tension. I introduce belting technique and head and chest voice through songs that fit your unique vocal anatomy. To make this easier, I curate a personalised song list built around each student's range for every session.
It works. We will tackle microphone technique, diction, and articulation to build your stage presence. My 13 years of experience means I understand how to manage stage fear and pitch control.
I always adjust the pace based on how your vibrato control is developing. I really enjoy helping you find that sweet spot in your range.
