About Octavia
With more than 12 years of experience teaching Piano, I have worked with students from various age groups and backgrounds, including school students, college students, and working professionals. My goal is to help students learn Piano in a comfortable, supportive, and motivating environment.
My teaching philosophy focuses on making learning enjoyable while maintaining a structured approach. I create customised lesson plans that suit each student's needs and help them achieve steady progress.
Students in my classes learn piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm patterns, sight reading, ear training, music theory, finger exercises, and performance skills. I also teach effective practice techniques that help students continue improving outside of lessons.
Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals and music reading. These additional skills strengthen overall musicianship and support long-term musical development.
I am passionate about helping students gain confidence and discover the joy of music. My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and focused on helping students reach their full potential.

My teaching philosophy focuses on communication, creativity, flexibility, and building confidence through structured learning. Every student has different strengths and goals, so I adapt my lessons to suit their individual needs. I believe learning piano should always be enjoyable and motivating.
Students first develop a strong foundation through posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These skills prepare them for advanced techniques including scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive performance.
Every lesson combines explanation, demonstration, guided practice, and regular revision. Students are encouraged to ask questions, understand musical concepts clearly, and practise consistently. Constructive feedback helps them improve step by step.
Students also explore different musical genres while developing creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and expressive playing. These activities strengthen confidence and encourage independent musical thinking.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard skills, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, performance preparation, sight reading, and music appreciation. These supporting lessons provide a complete musical education.
My mission is to create a positive learning environment where students become confident, disciplined, and creative musicians.
