About Tanner
I am a dedicated Piano tutor with 11 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have taught school students, college students, and working professionals, helping them build confidence and achieve their musical goals.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding each student's needs and creating lessons that are engaging, practical, and easy to follow. I believe that learning Piano should be a positive and rewarding experience for everyone.
Students in my classes learn piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm patterns, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and performance preparation. I emphasise proper technique, consistent practice, and musical understanding.
In addition to Piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals and music theory. These subjects help students become more versatile musicians and gain a deeper appreciation for music.
My friendly teaching style and commitment to student success have helped many learners develop confidence and achieve meaningful progress. I am passionate about helping students grow both musically and personally.

My teaching methodology is based on communication, creativity, flexibility, and consistent encouragement. I believe that every student has their own learning style, so I adapt each lesson to suit their age, experience, interests, and goals. My lessons are designed to make piano learning enjoyable while building strong technical skills and musical confidence.
I begin by helping students develop correct posture, relaxed hand position, finger strength, rhythm, note reading, and a clear understanding of music theory. Once students become comfortable with these fundamentals, they progress to scales, chords, arpeggios, pedal techniques, dynamics, sight reading, and expressive performance.
I encourage students to understand the music they play instead of simply memorising songs. Through practical demonstrations and step-by-step explanations, students learn how rhythm, melody, harmony, and expression work together. This helps them become confident and independent musicians.
Students explore different musical styles including classical, pop, devotional songs, movie themes, and contemporary music. I also introduce simple improvisation and accompaniment exercises to improve creativity and musical expression.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, music theory, rhythm training, ear training, sight reading, music appreciation, and performance preparation. These subjects give students a complete understanding of music and improve their overall performance.
My goal is to create a positive and motivating learning environment where students enjoy every lesson, achieve steady progress, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
