About Ashlyn
Though I am a college freshman, I feel I have the experience necessary to give your children a solid foundation in basic music theory and piano fundamentals. I have taken piano lessons for over 10 years, studied flute for almost 8 years, and performed in various ensembles and situations. In 10th grade, my musical ability earned me a spot in Florida’s prestigious All-State band for high schoolers, and last year, I earned first chair flute in Seminole County’s All-County band ensemble. As a high school senior, I performed in a community college band, took an AP music theory class, and began composing music for piano. I have performed in two different church ensembles and in the past I’ve volunteered at my local elementary school to help students with beginner musical technique. I currently am continuing piano lessons, performing in a college ensemble, and composing music for piano. I have a passion for music and I’m confident I can provide a worthwhile experience for your child!

My lessons are intended for young students who know little to nothing about music and/or piano, and want to learn how to play the amazing instrument! I will personalize the music and materials used for each lesson, depending on your child’s age and interests, and make our lessons memorable. Basic music theory, fun songs of varying genres, and creative exercises will be incorporated into each lesson! Since the lessons will be online, you will be responsible for having your own piano to use during our half hour sessions. In our first lesson, I’ll discuss the materials we’ll be using, answer questions you or your child have, and give more information about the lessons. I hope you’ll give me a try, and I can’t wait to meet you!
