I'm an undergraduate studying Ancient History at Cardiff University. I am able to tutor all ages from 11-18 (secondary, GCSE, AS and A-level). I'm happy to help with either specific problems or general tutoring in preparation for exams. I always found that having a tutor meant I was able to talk through what I knew and this led to me remembering more in my exams. My teaching style is therefore based on verbal interaction rather than written work- though I would help my students analyse their written work to see where they can improve. Unfortunately I do not feel I have a high enough knowledge of Latin or Ancient Greek to provide tutoring in these subjects
I began tutoring my friends during GCSE's and many of them achieved far higher grades than expected. During my A-levels I was asked by my high school to act as a tutor to their C borderline students. I tutored 12 students,11 of which ended up getting a C or above.
