- Classes
Children follow a programme, the starting point being determined by an initial assessment. Both Maths and English programmes follow the National Curriculum. The maths programme is pure maths - from number recognition to fractions, decimals, percentages and GCSE algebra. It includes topics such as shape, space, measure and time. We can provide practice papers for school exams, (KS2, GCSE). Special help is offered for children approaching the Year 6 SATs, including practice with mental tests, about which many children are nervous. The English programme helps to develop the key skills which will allow children to read fluently, spell accurately and write confidently. The development of consistent, joined handwriting is an integral part of the programme. The carefully structured modules include Reading and Spelling, Handwriting, Vocabulary Extension, Grammar and Punctuation, Comprehension, Planning and Independent Writing, Exam Preparation.
Students complete work in class which is marked and corrected. They have short, daily homework tasks which provides consolidation of skills learned in class. The key is 'a little and often' and parental support is encouraged.

We accept children from pre-school through KS1, KS2 and KS3 to GCSE. We can also offer tuition to adults.

Wednesday 3.30-5.30 pm
Friday 3.30-5.30 pm
The class is run as a "drop-in" centre. Students will normally stay for around 20-30 minutes (longer if studying two subjects).
- Tuition Fees
One child taking one subject is £48 per month. A second subject, or a sibling, is £38 per month. There may be a discount for further siblings.
One off enrolment fee of £20 is payable - this is FREE if you mention The Tutor Pages!
