For me, mathematics and physics are entirely about the clarity with which they are taught. Every student should go into their maths and physics and exams with a strong intuition about the subject, and this comes from having a topic explained by someone who understands the subject in depth.
When teaching, my methodology is simple and easy for the student to work to. It is to work with the student to not only improve the grades within the subject, but pass on my passion and interest towards the subject as well. I have always found that when the passion for a subject increases, the grades will soon follow.
I am happy to teach to the client's requirement. If a conversation is needed to aide understanding I am happy to have that conversation just as I am happy to provide extra material or advise on reading materials. For younger students I organise days out to educational events as a way for parents and children to spend time and learn together.
I find the best way to learn is through examples and practice, this way the method can be seen clearly and the student will find it easier to see how a result is achieved.

I aim to help you understand and enjoy maths by breaking down the most complex topics into their fundamental constituent parts, highlighting key links between topics in order to help you break through the potentially confusing barrier of jargon heavy textbooks and exam papers.
My name is Luke Jones and i have finished my GCSE’s. I am aware of new specifications and achieved an A* in all of my exams. My teaching method is to find out how the pupil learns and adapt the lessons to them. My experience in a Primary School setting allows me to break down maths topics to easier segments. I want to ensure the learner has good knowledge and understanding of a topic before moving on to the next targeted area.
I teach national curriculum but in a more learner centered way. As I think that learners should be taught how to find things out for themselves. In a more holistic approach not to be told.
My lessons are based upon a structure of: skill, reasoning, problem solving then the big question. Where possible, all session will be based upon this method meaning your child/you will be able to make progress. Sessions will be kept as active as possible so engagement is heightened.

I am an A-level student who achieved 10 A*s at GCSE. In my sessions I would focus on areas of the subject that the student particularly struggles with as well as- general revision, going through exam questions and help with homework. I find that being of a similar age to the students I am helping makes it easier for me to think of relatable analogies to assist with their leaning.
2nd Year medical student at Imperial College London. 19. Maths, Chemistry, Biology? I'm your guy. Have been tutoring last year, and have been tutored for over 10 years. I have a very straight way of thinking which I think people enjoy, especially if you 'don't get it'.

I aim to make every lesson engaging, but also have an element of difficulty to encourage you to push yourself to the very best of your ability. I don’t have a set teaching methodology.
My teaching method involves focusing on problem areas and breaking them down into manageable parts. I am keen on past papers and repetition, and want to focus on the pupils’ weak points. I make use of the whiteboard, analogies and explanations with drawings and working from the base up so knowledge is gapless and is retained more easily.

When teaching students I first like to work through methods with them to make sure that they have a full understanding and allow them time to make thorough notes. I then ask students to work through some practice questions to ensure they are confident in using the methods before I check the questions and work through any mistakes or questions they may have struggled with.
When I teach, I like to break things down to basics and build up since in mathematics it is crucial to have a good understanding of the foundations of a topic before you approach the top level problems. My aim in teaching is to help someone to fully understand a topic/ questions within a topic, to the point that they can succeed at the hardest of questions about that topic.
