About Ashley
I am a graduate of the University of Bedfordshire and obtained my BSc (Hons) in animal sciences. Prior to that I studied at Shuttleworth College and had the opportunity to work hands on with hundreds of species housed at their recently refurbished zoological education centre. I also had the opportunity to work with the college as a volunteer unit tech in my free time. I currently work in Cambridge with the university as part of their germ free facility. It is here where I liaise with researchers and develop my professional skills set. I have always had an interest in working in education and being able to share not only my knowledge but passion for animals and science.

Throughout recent years I have come to understand and adapt to many different ways of learning. As a result, I prefer my lesson style to be personable and best catered to the learner. Subjects that can be covered include - Anatomy, physiology and disease, husbandry, nutrition, ecological systems and more. My current position working at the University of Cambridge has given me the opportunity to progress in the field of animal care and particularly focus on rodents and their husbandry, anatomy/physiology and welfare surrounding them.
