MSc in Biology (Integrative-Biosciences) from University of Oxford with more than 7 years of tutoring experience offering my first lesson absolutely free. I give the tutoring according to student needs and capabilities. I give students the work plan to reach A grades. I tutor Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths from KS2 upto A-levels.
I am currently working as a specialist extended scope musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the NHS. Trained to an Masters in Science (MSc) level, working towards Musculoskeletal association of chartered physiotherapists) MACP membership.
I am an experienced online and face-to-face tutor with a teacher qualification (PGCE) and a PhD in chemical biology. I am passionate about science and about enthusing young people, even those who find science difficult to begin with. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I also teach Maths and German. - Tell me about your qualifications.
My teaching method is quite flexible and will often depend on each individual student and their preferred learning styles. I base my lessons around the current curriculum - can be AQA/Edexel/OCR (for GCSE or A-level) or up to KS3 level. I tend to approach each topic in smaller sections and break core units etc. down into easier to absorb sub-units.
I will start with a simple and basic explanation for each subject to make sure my student knows the basis of things, then move on to more advanced and detailed explanation. For that, I would use plain papers and pens to start writing and drawing diagrams to help the student understand and follow my words as I write them down on the paper.
My teaching is tailored to your needs and learning preferences. There are two main types of lesson: One is subject focused tutorials. For example, if you struggle to understand a scientific concept, I will plan a tutorial around that subject to help you make sense of it. If desired, this kind of lesson can be supplemented with homework that tests your understanding of the subject.
I am an experienced science teacher and tutor I love to see my students making progress. I make learning fun by using a variety of teaching styles. I always embed lots of exam questions and notes into my lessons to ensure the learner has the tools to succeed.
I like to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible, with loads of questions, quizzes and small games. Also, I think independent learning is important too, so the lesson would also include discussions on the topic and the student can ask questions from his own research on the topic.
Interactive teaching. It means that the lessons are not memorised but embedded into the student’s mind. Interactive teaching causes students to pay attention to detail and are also involved in the process of unfolding key learning steps. Since GCSE I’ve found flaws in teaching methods. My learning came from extracurricular activities which I designed myself since my lessons were not fulfilling.
I love teaching and especially making a difference which I have done numerous times. I care about how people learn and have a particular focus on teaching in a way that is best for each individual. As we all learn differently and so I have a specific focus on making the learning relevant to each student.
I offer Biology, Chemistry and Psychology lessons up to AS level. I use a student-centred, high tech and kinesthetic approach within my sessions. This means I will coach and facilitate the students learning and their overall comprehension of the material.
My focus is on learner centered teaching, where the emphasis is on enabling the student to understand the theory and integrate/ apply it practically. The focus/ emphasis is on building the student's confidence, analytical skills and knowledge base to ensure success.
If you need a friendly, knowledgeable and very experienced tutor to help you with your medical or nursing career I would love to talk to you. We can have a good chat (free of charge) and you will be under no obligation whatsoever to use my services.
I wish to give simple explanations of biological topics relating to GCSE and A level Biology and intend to inspire not bore. I will take reccommendations on what students want in lessons and easy to improve their learning and understanding.
I break down each topic into small, manageable segments and make my own resources for the pupil to easily learn these. I find that as a young tutor pupils relate more to my teaching style and I understand how to engage them. Hence I keep my teaching very interactive, with the primary focus of maximising examination grades.
I teach using colours and more discussion based over writing a lot, as this is how I learn. Each lesson will be a small introduction to the subject, a small worksheet with questions which you can attempt, then we discuss or can go through them together.
My approach is a holistic one, tackling not only academic achievements but to stir in them an enthusiasm to learn, to develop a self-driven attitude in them that is beneficial in the working world-- all these are a product of the benefit of foresight I believe I possess.
I always start with a quick starter which could be a recap from last lesson or a quick quiz. I then teach the new topic. I will try to asses the student along the way Student would then do questions related to topic. We end with a quick recap of the lesson.
My teaching method is very much student driven. What area of Nursing/Health is giving you trouble, what level of knowledge do you currently require and how best do you learn and understand new information. I take all of these factors and more into account when developing a session for you.
I involve the learner through engaging with their interests and at a level and pace that they are comfortable with. I believe that every learner is an individual and my learning styles will be responsive to each student to ensure that they are actively involved throughout.
In one-to-one or small group tutoring, I encourage self-learning and help my students to develop critical and creative thinking skills. This assists them to retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization.
I'm studying an undergraduate degree, so I'm able to tutor students up to A-levels and first year undergraduate confidently. I like to introduce a topic, go over a couple of examples and then expand on areas that my students find difficult or interesting.
I plan to tailor my teaching style to the individual needs of my students. Each lesson will be start and finish with a mini test, allowing us to assess you current knowledge of the subject and to track your progress.
I find the best results are obtained by progressive interaction between tutor and student - the best retention of knowledge and understanding occurs when the student can convey the subject matter back to the tutor in their own style and words (with help and prompting when necessary).
If you want to learn, I am here to help. I am of an academic level that I can teach Higher biology and university level anatomy to an advanced stage. I will begin with topics that students are struggling with and perform example questions to prepare for future examinations.
As a tutor, I like to have a first session with the student themselves and at least one parent, so I can understand what the aims and objectives of tuition are. I would need to ascertain the board being studied, and the strengths and weaknesses of the student so that we can then approach our sessions in an individualised manner.
I am passionate about Science and Chemistry in particular, it is a subject which you will never fully understand as we are continually learning and discovering about it - which is great! Lessons will be engaging, tailored to you and as interactive as possible.
My teaching method is making sure the targets for the individual are met at a pace that will benefit them and are realistic for the time frame they set. I am able to provide knowledge and material in Biology, Zoology, Cellular Biology and some surrounding subjects.
I am a fourth year medical student and my teaching methods are based on my experiences. I am a student myself so have very recently been in the position of the students whom I tutor which I believe really helps me understand their perspective.
I am a Biomedical Sciences graduate going into Medicine and I offer Biology classes to all levels and Chemistry classes up to A levels and equivalent. I am a very patient tutor, and I will only succeed when you succeed as well. During our first classes, we will start by reviewing the different topics, in order to assess your strengths and weaknesses.
