MSc in Biology (Integrative-Biosciences) from University of Oxford with more than 7 years of tutoring experience offering my first lesson absolutely free. I give the tutoring according to student needs and capabilities. I give students the work plan to reach A grades. I tutor Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths from KS2 upto A-levels.
I am currently working as a specialist extended scope musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the NHS. Trained to an Masters in Science (MSc) level, working towards Musculoskeletal association of chartered physiotherapists) MACP membership.
My teaching is by drawing schemes and teaching the basics n concepts.
I can offer support to students who are completing their GCSE's or A levels. I would like to structure my lessons based on the individual, how they learn the best (as everyone is different) but to also make it as enjoyable for them as possible.
Most of my teaching experience is with children preparing to take GCSEs but I have also taught those preparing for Pre-U and A Level. I believe that teaching should be an interactive experience. My lessons are typically discursive with the opportunity for students to tests themselves.
I encourage and foster independence of my students. My teaching method is based on what type of learner my tutee is, i.e visual, auditory, reading/writing or kinesthetic.
I am an experienced online and face-to-face tutor with a teacher qualification (PGCE) and a PhD in chemical biology. I am passionate about science and about enthusing young people, even those who find science difficult to begin with. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I also teach Maths and German. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I love teaching and especially making a difference which I have done numerous times. I care about how people learn and have a particular focus on teaching in a way that is best for each individual. As we all learn differently and so I have a specific focus on making the learning relevant to each student.
A succesful lesson is one from which my students are able to retain information and apply to their specific needs. I tailor my teaching style to your learning style and ensure I provide all the extra help which you may not be able to receive from your school teachers. I will always go out of my way to help you achieve exceptional grades.
I believe the key to achieving good grades is by working not only hard but also smartly. Revision is not about memorising, but about understanding and once there is a strong understanding in place everything is easy to recall! I will pass on my revision tips and tricks to help you achieve the best grades possible.
my teaching method is based schematic representations and through short cuts to remember what has been taught.i would like to refresh the lessons what i have taught. i need my students to inform the topic prior which i need to explain them. they can inform me via email before the online lession which can avoid future fuss.
My focus is on learner centered teaching, where the emphasis is on enabling the student to understand the theory and integrate/ apply it practically. The focus/ emphasis is on building the student's confidence, analytical skills and knowledge base to ensure success.
I wish to give simple explanations of biological topics relating to GCSE and A level Biology and intend to inspire not bore. I will take reccommendations on what students want in lessons and easy to improve their learning and understanding.
I teach using colours and more discussion based over writing a lot, as this is how I learn. Each lesson will be a small introduction to the subject, a small worksheet with questions which you can attempt, then we discuss or can go through them together.
I am prepared to give classes to High School, A levels and University students. My lessons are often structure along the lines of moving the student from the known to the unknown. My teaching methodology involves lectures, discussion, case studies etc.
My teaching method is very much student driven. What area of Nursing/Health is giving you trouble, what level of knowledge do you currently require and how best do you learn and understand new information. I take all of these factors and more into account when developing a session for you.
I involve the learner through engaging with their interests and at a level and pace that they are comfortable with. I believe that every learner is an individual and my learning styles will be responsive to each student to ensure that they are actively involved throughout.
I'm studying an undergraduate degree, so I'm able to tutor students up to A-levels and first year undergraduate confidently. I like to introduce a topic, go over a couple of examples and then expand on areas that my students find difficult or interesting.
I find the best results are obtained by progressive interaction between tutor and student - the best retention of knowledge and understanding occurs when the student can convey the subject matter back to the tutor in their own style and words (with help and prompting when necessary).
As a tutor, I like to have a first session with the student themselves and at least one parent, so I can understand what the aims and objectives of tuition are. I would need to ascertain the board being studied, and the strengths and weaknesses of the student so that we can then approach our sessions in an individualised manner.
I approach each student uniquely as no one individual is the same. Therefore everyone learns in a different way and at a different pace. I like to gain an insight into how my students are originally taught to gauge the difficult areas faced and tackle those. Also my main goal is to ensure that the content is taught in a way to make it applicable to all scenarios and questions.
Differentiation is not solely about using different leveled worksheets and support materials, but about truly building relationships with students, understanding their strengths, and providing lessons to support those strengths.
I have a very strong command over Immunology, Molecular biology, Biomedical sciences, Haematology, Cancer studies, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Genetics. I have been teaching to the A Levels and also University level too. Powerpoint presentation is the most appropriate to teach but I also believe in writing notes for students while teaching.
My teaching style is flexible to suit the student, led primarily by what works best for you. Whether it’s gaining a deeper understanding of a topic or revising for an exam, I can help you achieve your goals by presenting the learning material in a way that suits your learning style.
I approach my lessons by understanding the students learning style and their strengths and weaknesses. Then tailor my lessons from this understanding. Starting with the basics and increasing in complexity as the student understands more. I try to approach topics from multiple angles to ensure the successful understanding of the material. My grades: A-level Psychology A, Biology B, Chemistry B.
I base my classes on the British national curriculum and my science knowledge on UK A-Levels, a BSc and a pending MBBS (medicine and surgery degree). The theory aspects of my medical degree were conducted using a mix of problem based learning and traditional lectures.
I like to teach by open discussions as well as by using diagrams and flow charts to explain processes or concepts. I encourage students to come prepared with a little bit of pre-reading so that I am there to assist in furthering their knowledge as science is fact-based and I believe anyone can understand the basic gist of anything if they put their mind to it.
My teaching method is topic based, particularly with the topics you struggle most with, and i will not move onto further topics until a good level of the previous topic is understood. I use unique and funny ways to help students remember things which helps in exam situations, I will base the teaching method to cater for different learning styles such as auditory or visual.
Biology can be overwhelming for some students. I prefer to make sure that my students manage to grasp the concept rather than just memorising names. To make it easier, I usually provide case examples of biological components/processes in our surroundings to let them understand the theories by understanding real life examples.
have a strong grudge with the education system's way of teaching these topics at both GCSE and A level. This comes from my personal belief in creative teaching. Creative teaching induces creative learning methods which can help students learn difficult abstract concepts more easily.
