- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I have considerable experience tutoring online for students of all ages. I use Skype or FaceTime but I'm happy to discover new platforms if you have a preference.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have over 10 years of coaching and tutoring experience, working with children as young as five or six, to adults preparing for business presentations and students applying to Oxbridge. I have worked with various tutoring agencies, including the well respected Enjoy Education. I work with my students to achieve high results whilst simultaneously giving them the tools to learn to work independently.
As an actress who currently works in TV, Film and Theatre, I am well placed to work with children an adults alike on audition technique, drama school exams and public speaking, as well as interview technique.
I have worked on short term and longer term placements, both online and in person, or depending on the student's requirements, a mixture of both. Locating first of all, an individual's enjoyment of the subject is what I like to do, finding ways in so that the task at hand doesn't seem so daunting or boring.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
DBS up to date
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I have been working on a long term basis with 13 year old Matthew who studies at The American School. I have been supporting him in his French curriculum, as well as finding avenues to move ahead and prepare the groundwork for new tenses, grammar, vocabulary and concepts that the teacher will be arriving at soon, so that he is more receptive to the work in class.
I have also been working longer term with a very gifted English Literature student who needed help with her AS resits as well as her A Levels. We worked specifically on her essay style and how she was communicating, and her AS mark went up to an A. She was also recently accepted into Cambridge University - we worked on interview technique together - and we are now working together so that she receives the marks she requires in her A Levels.
I recently worked on a short term placement for an English Literature student applying to UK universities. We were working specifically outside of the curriculum to make her more comfortable talking about unseen poetry, as well as working on her Oxford and Cambridge entrance essay writing.
I worked with a French A-level student on her retakes of her French speaking exam. We worked on a wide range of topics that the exam board specified, as well as working on her presentation and conversation skills to allow her to communicate her knowledge more confidently. She received an A*.

Anna is the best French Tutor we have ever had. She is very professional, organised, punctual and Matthew loves his sessions with her. She is always cheerful and upbeat and very flexible in that if she is travelling she does the sessions via Skype which Matthew really enjoys. Anna is very creative in the way she teaches which makes the sessions fun and interesting. As a result Matthew is thriving in French.
Anna has been a pleasure to work with. Her relaxed yet professional style means that our lessons are fun and engaging whilst also being directed and to the point. She always marks my work for the next lesson and gives detailed responses to all of my essays.
Over the time I have spent with Anna, I felt that she has not only understood my strengths and weakness within Literature but she has also taken time to understand my personality.
