About Erin
I have been competing in singing and musical theatre for a couple of years now. My musical theatre group won dozens of first, second, and third place awards at the prestigious Access Broadway competition in Syracuse, NY. I played the role of "Rusty" in Footloose for Spotlight Arts' annual full-length play. I have been singing with York Harmony Chorus (a competitive A Cappella group) since 2017. We even secured a spot in the 74th International Convention and Competition in Louisville, Kentucky (2020), which was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19. I have been tutoring professionally since 2015. I was also a classroom teacher for one year.

I specialize in helping absolute beginner and beginner vocal students learn the basics and find their voice! I start by teaching proper breathing, posture, vowel formation, diction, vocal warm-ups, etc. I meet my students where they are, and help them to determine their range. A vocal range is not written in stone, and I can help you to safely widen your range. It is not necessary to read music for my classes, and if you don't, I can certainly teach you. I give my students weekly homework and help them to set goals which are challenging, yet doable. I have the philosophy that we should all aim to be lifelong learners. Vocal training, like many things, becomes much easier if it is done on a regular basis.

Perfect! Erin is passionate about singing and she's actively engaged in various singing competitions. She is patient and always having insight to student's talent and abilities. I gained both musical theory knowledge and practical vocal technics from her.
