About Reza
I got my Ph.D in Applied Mathematics in 2009 and I have been teaching math courses in colleges and universities since then and I have more than 15 years of experience in this area. I have taught the following courses: College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II, III, Vector Calculus, Applied Differential Equations. During fifteen years of my experience in teaching mathematics at undergraduate and graduate levels, I have been constantly obtaining experience as to what increases motivation and interest of the students for learning mathematics. Regarding my teaching experiences, one of the strategies which help me in teaching mathematics is writing detailed section plans and giving them to the students to execute. The plan guides the students to learn examples, and do examples on their own. Also, making students aware of a void in their knowledge helps them to capitalize on their desire to learn more. For instance, I present a few simple exercises involving familiar subjects, followed by exercises involving unfamiliar ones on the same main topic. By using this strategy, enthusiasm and motivation of students for solving new problems and learning mathematics increase.
