About Zain
I am a Doctoral candidate in Islamic Studies at the Institute of Islamic Studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. My research focuses on the reception of Greek philosophy within the Arabic philosophical tradition.
Luckily I grew up speaking Iraqi Arabic, and I formalized my education through almost 5 years of Arabic language study. Hence I know both correct prononciation in addition to dialectal variants on top of my knowledge of Standard Arabic.
