About Gaynell
Playing under the bright studio lights left me with a clear understanding of the mechanical rigours of the piano. After 5 years of teaching, I focus on the essential building blocks like posture, hand position, and rhythm. I balance these technical scales and arpeggios with fun jazz improvisation.
Students often comment that they actually enjoy the process of mastering difficult memorisation techniques. My sessions reflect my background at the Royal Academy of Music, where I learnt that true musicality comes from solid foundations. It is great to hear how much you can improve after just a few weeks of practice.

Reaching a point where you can play music that sounds professional is often harder than it appears at first. You might be surprised to find that simple adjustments to your timing make the biggest difference in your sound.
I utilise my 5 years of experience to break down sight reading into manageable steps. After every lesson, you get 9.0 out of 10 ratings for helpfulness because I provide free access to my annotated practice notes. These documents keep you organised between our meetings. I hope these tools help you reach your goal of playing with confidence.
