About Margarita
I'm Margarita Salazar, a Colombian living in Argentina. I've been studying trombone since 2018 at EMPA and the CSMF Manuel de Falla. I'm a self-taught singer. Currently, I work as a musician and singer in various bands and as a session musician. I teach introductory music, singing, and trombone at different cultural centers and schools in Greater Buenos Aires. I'm a composer and also perform guitar and vocals at self-organized events and singer-songwriter series.

In the first few lessons, I usually conduct an assessment of both motor skills and prior instrumental development. Based on this, I focus subsequent lessons. I like to prioritize areas where I see students have an aptitude and also address areas where they struggle in a didactic way. I make extensive use of the body and expression as a driving force for musical phonation. I enjoy exploring different styles to broaden the exploration of the instrument, nuances, colors, musical awareness, expression, and intensity, always keeping in mind the specific goals of each student.
