About Yunus
I am Yunus Imam, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) graduate in Biochemistry with research interest in nutritional biochemistry, functional food and nutraceutical, phytochemisty and toxicology. I also have a professional diploma in education (PDE) and Bachelor of Sci. (B. Sc.) Biochemistry degree qualifications with first class honour. From my previous studies, my mind has been opened to teaching, experiments and research. Moreover, I have a background knowledge in some courses notably; biochemistry, food and nutrition, metabolism, molecular biology, genetics, statistics, research technique, enzymology, immunology/immunochemistryand endocrinology. In addition, I have knowledge in biology, chemistry, physic and math which are essential for senior secondary school. In addition, I have also been exposed to the field of education during my professional diploma education through which I was certified as a qualified teacher by Teacher registration council of Nigeria (TRCN). To further excel and develop my innate potential, I still intend to learn further.
I have the ability to teach these subjects and impacts their knowledge. As an season teacher with more than 5 years experience, I have been exposed to teaching, laboratory activities, academic relationship and classroom interaction. I am goal-oriented, mentally and emotionally stable, industrious, very inquisitive, articulate and thorough. I have a very good interpersonal skill and team spirit as well as outstanding intellectual capacity. I also write, speak and converse in English language very fluently.
