About Brandi
With a doctorate in Education, a master's in Statistics, and a bachelor's in Mathematics, I bring both a strong theoretical foundation and practical experience to every session. I have worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, from young students just starting with numbers, to college students learning advanced topics. For the past 8 years I have been a professor of mathematics. Prior to teaching, I was the coordinator of a math lab tutoring center for a community college. I also tutored all throughout my undergraduate and graduate career in various tutoring centers. Additionally, I have done private 1 on 1 tutoring on the side. I truly believe that everyone can learn math. It is my goal to build students' confidence in math and show them how useful math can really be. Math doesn’t have to be intimidating. In fact, with the right guidance, you might even find it fun!

My approach is adaptive, student-centered, and outcome-focused. I tailor my teaching style based on how each student learns best.
I will go beyond memorization and help you understand why you are doing what you are doing by relating lessons to real life and your past experiences.
What sets me apart as a tutor is the combination of deep academic expertise and a compassionate, student-first approach. I specialize in helping students overcome math anxiety by creating a supportive, non-judgmental space and breaking concepts down in ways that build confidence and clarity. My ability to connect pedagogical theory with real-life teaching means I don’t just teach math, I help students change the way they see it.
I have the most experience tutoring statistics, algebra I &2, nursing math, and precalculus, but tutored everything from basic math through calculus. I am also experienced in SPSS and research statistics.
