About Amy
I hold an undergraduate degree in government from Shippensburg University and received my law degree from the University of the District of Columbia School of Law. I am admitted to practice law in Florida as well as the Middle District of Florida. I have practiced as an attorney for 25 years at both the civil and federal level. My passion for tutoring started after my daughter was born with learning disabilities. As a parent it became my job to help her break down the information in the classroom in a way that her brain could process it. All of the techniques and tips I had gathered over the years and applied myself as a high school, college and law student all had to be applied to enable her to learn. I realized the skills I had developed to counsel my law clients were the skills I brought to the table to help her. Everyone has the ability to succeed. Sometimes you just need the right person to make it all click.

As an attorney it is important to connect with my clients and provide clear communication on complex matters. This requires breaking large pieces down in to small pieces of information such that the client can not just retain the information but clearly understand it. As a tutor my job is to help you dissect the information you are trying to learn, identify the problem areas and create a system that enables you to easily retrieve the information you learn and apply it to your exams. Whether it is the material you are struggling to understand, structuring concise essays or struggling with exam anxiety I will work through all of that with you.
