When tutoring STEM subjects, I prioritise working directly from the specification, in an attempt to avoid information overload, allowing time for exam and revision techniques to really be honed. A point will be made for topics to learnt and recovered continuously, to insure the student's long term memory relating to topic.
I am also available for less structured weekly help with homework etc. However, in order to maximise the time, I prefer some kind of forewarning of the topics so I may prepare further questions/notes that could be of use in furthering their understanding.
The lessons can be 30 minutes to one hour and half long, although I am happy to adapt the timings on a case by case basis. I am available after 16:00 every day except for Thursdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
