About Avery
As a child, I received one-on-one and small group services for certain subjects and as an adult, I worked in an Exceptional Children's setting. This guides my approach as one that is rooted in empathy and patience. Like the teachers I had, I aspire to boost confidence in students while helping them achieve their academic goals--whether we are overcoming a challenging math concept or developing strong communication skills. I strive to create a supportive, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking for help and enjoy learning.

With a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies and professional experience in an elementary school setting, I combine my experiences to offer lessons in K-5 math & ELA as well as college-level communication and writing.
