This is not a traditional architecture class: it is a professional design studio experience where students are treated as junior architects, interior designers, and product designers working on real creative challenges.
Designed specifically for ambitious students aged 16–18 interested in Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, Engineering, or creative careers, this intensive 10-day bootcamp gives students a genuine insight into how designers think, create, prototype, and solve problems in professional practice.
Students work through the complete design process: researching users, sketching concepts, exploring materials, building scale prototypes, testing ideas, and fabricating a full-scale 1:1 furniture piece that will be physically built and tested. This is not theoretical learning: students design, build, iterate, and present like real designers.
Teaching combines architecture, design thinking, sustainability, creativity, sketching, model making, prototyping, portfolio building, studio critiques, and collaborative learning. Students also receive mentorship and feedback from practising architects, interior designers, and product designers to gain insight into university pathways and creative industries.
The programme runs as an intensive full-day studio experience with hands-on workshops, design challenges, technical making sessions, presentations, and critiques, closely replicating the environment of architecture schools and professional studios.
Students leave with far more than completed projects: they build portfolio-ready work, studio sketchbooks documenting their design process, physical prototypes, professional photographs of final outcomes, and the confidence to discuss real design challenges in university interviews and UCAS applications.
Whether students are complete beginners or already building competitive portfolios, the programme is designed to challenge, inspire, and give them a meaningful advantage for future creative study.
