About Ananda
Hi, my name is Ananda Kuhn (b. 1984, Porto Alegre). I am a Brazilian multi-disciplinary and award-winning artist based in London. Focused on the black-and-white dichotomy of Taoism philosophy, I paint surrealistic landscapes, articulating memories of the places I visited with visual stimuli of pareidolic illusions. I currently have an artistic residency at Art’otel in Battersea, where everyone is welcome to visit me while I work on my new art series. With an extensive career in Brazil, I have participated in nearly a hundred art exhibitions, received awards, and contributed to museum collections and private gallery partnerships. Since relocating to the UK, I’ve focused on integrating art and wellbeing by leading art sessions for care home residents through the Art Care project. Additionally, I teach printmaking techniques in workshops that I developed while managing Diatribe Printmakers, my art studio in Bristol. Beyond the visual arts, I also explore music—composing and playing drums in the two-piece rock band Altermoderns.

Art Tutoring for A-Level Students In our first meeting, you'll have the opportunity to share your previous artworks and discuss ideas for your upcoming A-Level project. As your tutor, I’ll provide valuable feedback and insight, offering concepts and suggestions to help shape your creative direction. Together, we'll create a personalised timetable to guide you through the project, ensuring a structured approach to your artistic development. Each 2-hour lesson is designed to be both enjoyable and educational, filled with practical activities that focus on refining art techniques and exploring both contemporary and historical artists. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of art history and enhance your technical skills, all while nurturing your unique artistic voice. To ensure consistent progress, lessons are recommended to be held fortnightly. This interval allows time for you to complete research and practise the techniques we’ve discussed, promoting steady growth and mastery.
