BIO:
Luca is a young acoustic, classical and electric guitarist and singer/songwriter from Italy. His style is a rare mix of various music genres such as rock, pop and jazz with a subtle progressive approach, where lyrics are inspired by strong life experiences and meaningfully blended with some fine arrangements and intricate guitar lines.

In September 2015, Luca won the Mayor of London’s “GIGS”, the UK’s biggest busking competition, and was named as “London’s Best Busker of the Year” by the London Evening Standard. The following year he reached again the final stage of the competition and won the “Eurostar Prize”, which allowed him to perform in Paris as part of a tour sponsored by Eurostar and Busk In London.

Based in London since 2012, he has performed in prestigious UK venues - The Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Club Soho and the Palm Beach Casino - and international festivals such as the Irish DayTripper, Groove Festival and FIB in Spain, where he shared the stage with artists like Paolo Nutini and Paloma Faith. He also performed at international events such as the London Guitar Night, TEDxYouthBologna and the London Acoustic Show.

In March 2016 the video of his single “Get Up!” was published on YouTube by Candyrat Records. His debut EP “Behind The Clouds”, co-produced with London-based drummer and producer Mr Saccardo, was released on 17th November 2016 alongside his second video with Candyrat “Upside Down” which quickly reached 100k views on Facebook.

In January 2017 Repubblica.it, the main Italian information website, published a video interview with Luca, followed by further interviews on Virgin Radio, Rai Radio 2, Rockit, Radio Deejay, Radio KissKiss (by Francesco Facchinetti) and RDS 100% Grandi Successi. He was also invited as a special guest in the studios of Radio Deejay by the famous comedy act Trio Medusa as well as on Rai’s Radio 2 Social Club alongside popular comedian Enrico Brignano at the invitation of Italian pop star Luca Barbarossa and actor Andrea Perroni.

Following his radio appearances, Luca supported Italian indie pop artist Dente in London as part of his European tour, shared the stage with Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) at the “Punk Exhibition” in Pordenone and performed for Metropolitan Police chiefs at New Scotland Yard. He was also invited by Consul General of Italy in London Massimiliano Mazzanti to perform at the Institute of Italian Culture in the presence of Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano and other Italian politicians and diplomats.

In May 2018 Luca appeared on the Home Page of Repubblica.it in a video interview which lead to further radio appearances on Virgin Radio and Radio Deejay. He was also interviewed on RDS 100% Grandi Successi and RAI Radio 2 during acclaimed programmes Caterpillar by Massimo Cirri and Senti Che Storia by Paolo Calabresi and Sabrina Nobile.

In July he started an Italian tour that culminated in his performance at "Un Paese a Sei Corde", Italian renown festival celebrating acoustic music that has seen the likes of remarkable guitarists Don Ross, Jon Gomm and Pierre Bensusan. He then returned to London to perform at iconic venues including The Ned and Annabel's (whose exclusive clientele include Frank Sinatra, US President Nixon and Queen Elizabeth II) and to be interviewed by Swiss national television “RSI”.

In Autumn 2018 Luca signed with remarkable independent label INRI (Levante, Linea 77, Ex-Otago) and Metatron and released his new single “Envy” on 2nd November. He then started a European Tour with over twenty concerts around the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, France and Italy and performed as a support act for Italian iconic pop star Max Gazzè at popular venues including the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London and Sugar Factory in Amsterdam. He was also invited as a special guest on Italian national television “RAI 2” at “B Come Sabato” with Gabriele Corsi, Andrea Delogu e Marco Mazzocchi, where he presented his new single with a live performance and interview.

2019 opened with Luca’s appearance on National TV program “Amici di Maria De Filippi” and other international tours cut short by Covid-19. The pandemic gave him the opportunity to work on new material which will be released throughout 2021.
