About Miyu
Hello! My name is Miyu, and I am a York University student with over 12 years of piano experience.
Throughout my musical journey, I have received awards in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia and the Japan Piano Teachers Association Piano Competition, where I qualified for the National Finals.
I believe learning the piano should be enjoyable and encouraging. I am patient, friendly, and always adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style and goals.
As someone who has experienced both competitions and years of practice, I understand the challenges students face and enjoy helping them build confidence step by step.
I speak both English and Japanese, allowing me to teach students comfortably in either language.

Hello! My name is Miyu, and I have been playing piano for over 12 years. I have received awards in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia and the Japan Piano Teachers Association Piano Competition, where I qualified for the National Finals.
I offer piano lessons for beginners and early intermediate students of all ages. My lessons focus on building a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, music reading, and musical expression while making learning enjoyable and encouraging.
Every lesson is personalized to each student’s goals and learning pace. Whether you are learning piano for the first time, preparing for school performances, or simply playing for fun, I will support you with patience and positivity.
Lessons are available in English and Japanese, and online lessons are also available.
I can also provide a performance video upon request.
I am currently preparing for the upcoming school year, and lessons will begin in September 2026. Feel free to contact me if you would like to reserve a lesson in advance.
