About Matteo

I am a London-based design architect, educator and researcher with more than 20 years of experience at award-winning practices. I have delivered residential, commercial, mixed-use and cultural projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, combining creative design leadership with strong technical and delivery expertise.
I began my career working on technical documentation and project delivery for major London schemes before developing extensive expertise in concept design, feasibility studies, planning applications and competitive bids. I have since led projects through RIBA Stages 1–5, coordinating clients, consultants and statutory authorities.
I hold BA and MArch degrees with honours from IUAV University of Venice and continued my studies in design theory at The Bartlett in London.
My work has been presented at international conferences and published in The Architectural Review and in writing on architectural sound, including “The Form of Sound” (2015) in Architecture et musique, published by Espace Editor.
My architectural collages received a Special Mention in the 2024 Hand Drawn Award. I exhibited “Seeing the Unseen” at the Slade Centre in 2012 and “OSX” at the Mall Galleries in 2025, alongside other exhibitions in London and Venice. “The Ghost Sound” and “The Sunday Race” were shortlisted for ArtEvolo 2025/2026, published in its catalogue and exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
I bring strong hand-sketching and presentation skills, advanced CAD and 3D-modelling expertise, and a sound understanding of construction and building technology. Adaptable, committed and highly collaborative, I translate ambitious ideas into clear, practical design solutions while maintaining quality, programme and coordination requirements.

About the lesson

Drawing on more than 20 years of international practice, I offer tailored architecture tuition that helps students transform early ideas into clear concepts and coherent design strategies. Each lesson provides practical guidance in technical drawing, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, 2D and 3D visualisation, model making and portfolio development. Constructive, personalised feedback connects academic theory with professional practice, strengthens design communication and builds the confidence and independence needed to produce polished, submission-ready work.

With the lessons you will:
