About Ayesha syed
Ayesha Syed is a Biochemistry graduate from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, having completed her BS between September 2020 and July 2025 with a CGPA of 3.24/4.00. Her academic journey began after relocating from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad around the 4th grade in pursuit of better educational opportunities, where she went on to score 92% in her matriculation board exams. During her undergraduate studies, she built hands-on research experience in translational genomics and neurogenetics, including an epilepsy-focused final year project and an internship researching skeletal disorders, and was recognised with first prize in a university poster competition. Proficient in core lab techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR/RT-PCR/qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and HPLC/LC-MS principles, alongside bioinformatics tools like BLAST and UniProt, she is fluent in English, native in Urdu and Pashto, and has basic knowledge of Korean. She is now exploring the next step in her career — weighing graduate study abroad against research opportunities in Pakistan — driven by a strong interest in molecular and translational research.
