About Kathleen
Singing started for me as a way to connect melody with language. It is a vital form of self-expression. I have taught 256 students over the course of 13 years in my practice.
By combining my BM Guitar degree with vocal training, I help students find their natural resonance. I love working with intermediate learners who want to polish their genre styling or pop technique. My background with newcomer families has taught me how to explain complex breathing control and diction in simple, effective ways. Effective vocal training relies on a balance between physical technique and emotional authenticity. I draw upon my 13 years of experience to ensure your breathing and pitch control improve during every session.
Because I hold a BM Guitar degree, I often incorporate instrumental support to help you understand the relationship between rhythm and phrasing. We focus on clear goals like belting technique, stage fear management, and articulation for those preparing for exams. To ensure you stay consistent between our meetings, I share recorded warm-up routines that you can use for your daily home practice.
