About David
I am passionate about history, and am keen to pass on that passion on to a new generation. I have a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History from the University of Auckland. Since leaving university I have a proven track record of leadership, and I continue to lead large teams in my chosen career. I have successfully mentored a number of my junior colleagues and seeing them succeed is something I am very proud of. I have two children myself, and there is nothing better than helping them to learn and thrive.

The best way to teach is to understand what motivates the student, and what type of learning suits them best. I believe that for a student to truly excel they need to develop a passion for what they are studying.
I take a collaborative approach to teaching - discussion rather than dictation - because student buy-in to and enjoyment of learning is vital.
A typical lesson will be an hour in length, and we will typically work with subjects and assignments the student is covering during their regular schooling.
These lessons are for high school students at NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3. The lessons can be in person or remote.
I am based in central Auckland.
