About Nina
I am a University of Pittsburgh dual degree graduate who spent extensive time studying Spanish Language and Culture as well as Biological Sciences. I know that simply having studied these subjects does not make me a good teacher, so I lean heavily on my previous tutoring experience for that. My past students have had significant improvements in their grades in the subjects we work on together. I have seen a student who did not enjoy Spanish class at all decide to continue to take the class the next year simply because I was able to help him fall in love with the language!

I am a flexible and understanding tutor who takes pride in listening to my students' goals and needs and tailoring my lessons accordingly. I start all tutoring relationships by outlining the student's specific goals to ensure we're on the same page. I then lay out a tentative calendar to meet those goals. I set aside 5 minutes at the end of each lesson so the student can ask any questions on his/her mind. I never want to leave a lesson with the feeling my student is confused!
