Through interactive and communicative lessons, I aim to provide chances to learn, and practice language in a natural and authentic way. I tend, to focus on communication so that language becomes a tool to achieve goals in terms of socialization, or undersanding and producing language.
I give lessons to students ranging from beginner level all the way up until University level, or advanced learners. I am able to do this as I have ample experience with the language and consider myself fluent. All of my lessons will be specific to the student, so they will vary. But a common trend is that I'll make every lesson varied to keep students engaged and interested in the learning.
My methodology is a very well structured one, based on the lessons and books that I have had from high school and university. Being Spanish my mother tongue, I tend to make my classes highly proactive and practical, where conversation is key to improve quickly.
Teachers have to understand the importance of innovating in the classroom. The methods and lessons used in the classroom have been changed or modified throughout the years or simply, they are still carried out but with an innovative factor, the use of innovation and communicative technology as is the case of Task-based learning developed in my lessons.
My focus is on getting my students to feel comfortable with the Spanish language, so time is spent conversing and "warming up" with word games before lessons begin. My style is relaxed and I am very patient (as a mother of two you learn this skill!).
My main teaching methods include vocabulary practice, use of flashcards and an enjoyable and comfortable manner to cater for the needs of the student, lessons structured in an organised way to make the learning experience for the student as easy and as enjoyable as possible
I tailor lesson plans and learning plans according to every student's special needs and goals so that you can have a more personalized learning experience. Language learning and teaching are both great passions of mine. I speak 8 languages (6 at a professional level) and teach 3 of them. I teach with a lot of enthusiasm, patience and with an overall positive approach.
I base my classes depending on your needs, i.e. the areas you need to improve (speaking, grammar, reading, listening, etc.) GCSE exams, DELE, etc. The whole structure is negotiable and will be discussed and tailored to you during the first lesson.
I use Spanish books with exercises sheets where you can easily learn how to use different words or sentences in a real life. I believe that vocabulary is the most important thing to learn so I always start with simple words and sentences.
Tutoring sessions are flexible to the needs of the learner. Oral, reading, writing and listening sessions or a combination are available. Bring your own textbooks and learning materials to the lesson. After a few sessions, once I have gauged your level, I can provide extra worksheets for practicing to do in or outside the session.
Accuracy and fluency are the keystones of language learning, but I aim for more. I focus on fostering language that is idiomatic. In speaking that means aiming to sound natural, appropriate and not like a textbook. In writing that means avoiding interference and an awareness of writing conventions in the target language.
Lessons will be thoroughly planned and structured before-hand to ensure they run effectively. I believe progress checks and repetition are paramount when learning a language too. Having sat languages exams, it is essential not only to know the content, but also to understand what the examiner wants. Therefore exam practice will be included if necessary.
I am a fun, patient and approachable individual and know various techniques to complete work to a high standard, having done it all myself. I can cater for all levels up to university level and can form lessons around your needs and requests. Just send me an email or a text message.
According to academic research, linguists have demonstrated that there is not one single best method for everyone in all contexts, and that no one teaching method is inherently superior to the others. However, I prefer Direct Method (also called Natural Method).
I look to make learning Spanish fun, as I know from experience that if it's not fun and you can't use it practically then there is little interest in learning. I look to teach people of all ages, if you're looking for exam help and prep, or you want to know some of the language before going on holiday, I'm here to help. Classes will be structured in a way that benefits you and your learning needs.
My teaching method consist on first to evaluate the knowledge of the student , then made a schedule of the necessary the lessons with the right material and a proyect of the time necessary for the student to achieve they maximun potential and reforce they wikness.
My methodology is based in practical and fun activities. All my contents are based in constructivism where students are the key to learn. My approache is more inductive, and I would give a variety of examples for a concept without any rule. The student will learn the grammar rule by playing with interactive exercise. As well I like to learn through songs, videos, and experiences.
I offer simple, tailored, engaging and effective individualized lessons that will help build your confidence and learn Spanish once and for all! My interactive approach focuses on supporting the student to become fluent in Spanish through the combination of grammar and vocabulary with spontaneity.
I wan to help my students confidently express themselves in Spanish. I often find people know more than they think they do. I try to tailor different reading, writing or speaking exercises around each student's interests to help motivate them.
-Topics attack: I love working on vocabulary, idioms, expressions by exploring different topics. -Proper and fluent: I will make you improve by helping you to sound more Spanish. This means increasing, step by step, your speech speed and your accuracy.
I have mainly taught individual classes, but also hold a qualification in teaching groups of children of up to 10-people per class. I like to keep it fun, interesting and focus on the learner's needs, interests, and style of learning.
My teaching method is suited for each person, depending on their target (exams, trip, etc.), the level of proficiency and the aspect they are looking to improve (listening, speaking, reading or writing). Depending on these I plan a series of lessons and give homework (optional) for students to move forward at their own pace.
My teaching method depends on my student, the first class is introductory and I ask a few questions to assess the level of Spanish, then we discuss what are the better ways to learn for each individual, I'm flexible! :)
My teaching method is based on building confidence and making sure the student realises their potential.
I am a certified Spanish teacher On line. I work with all ages and all labels. I work by labels. Each label has 5 lessons and 1 review.
- If I had to choose one particular method, I could not choose any. My goal is to choose the methods that best fit to my students, not to force my students to adhere to any limiting methodology. - Personally, I really enjoy to teach languages through the music, it is a useful tool for language learning. Language and music are kindred spirits.
I am able to provide Spanish lessons for children to give them the level required by their school or to prepare them for their future examinations (e.g. oral exam in Spanish language of the ENA, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, etc.). I also offer an interpretation, translation and proofread/text correction service.
As an Art Historian our conversations will be always "spiced" with cultural references to ancient civilisations and fine arts. To manage a language implies to know a little bit about how it originated. For example, the Americas were the cradle of many advanced civilisations such as the Maya, the Aztec and the Inca. A language is alive and changes, by adopting words from other languages.
I find online teaching very rewarding, even superior to a face-to-face experience. If both tutor and student have got a good connection, the online voice clarity and sharpness is much better to understand each other. Moreover, the tutor can send documents and correct the student`s exercises whilst they are speaking.
I adapt myself to the students needs. Usually, to make it more productive, I try to focus the content of the classes on the areas that most need to be improved. I can make theoretical or practical classes. Normally the student need a balance of both. I always try to create a friendly atmosphere, but I also can be serious if necessary. I am very patience.
