About Teika
My love for others is what drives me. I believe becoming a teacher is one of my best decisions. Although I have only been inside a classroom setting through my practicum I have a lifelong experience because my love for teaching began as a child. I would always teach my family members and helped friends. My reason for not entering the classroom after completing my studies was because of another love, raising my children which also resulted in me teaching them at home. I excelled in my teaching practicum because of the fire in me to assist each child in moving from one point to the next. Helping them to see that with work and belief in themselves they could achieve their dreams. This is why I am here today. I want to achieve my goal in growing more as a teacher as I also learn from my students in how to aid them and also becoming the best teacher for them. I am considerate, honest, respectful and motivational. I truly look forward to growing together.

I am totally here for each student. I will go the extra mile because it is my deepest desire to help. I believe in centering learning around each child (student), opening opportunities for real-life connections so that each learning experience can come alive. Use of different teaching methods so that different learning styles are catered to as well as keeping each student engaged.
