I think the best way to teach someone a subject is to first find a learning style that benefits the student, and to find a way to cater around that. I like to not pressure someone into getting every thing perfect, and I won't become impatient if things take a little bit longer, as I remember during primary school having a teacher with that demeanour - it did not help me learn!
