About Dafne
I am a first-year Honours B.Sc Psychology student currently attending the Univerity of Ottawa, I am planning on pursuing a doctorate degree. My end goal for my academia would be to do laboratory research in Psychology.
Thanks to many volunteer opportunities I was able to take, I have developed confidence in my skill and ability to tutor effectively. From 14 years old till high school, I volunteered at TDSB international languages and was a Spanish tutor for young children. With the challenges of trying to teach kindergarteners a new language, I found myself creating creative and engaging lesson plans for students and found great success in doing so. Many students returned to the Spanish classes every year and it was extremely gratifying to see them improve their Spanish.
Although teaching was a hobby for me, it always brings me joy to help someone who is passionate about a subject and wants to perfect their performance.

Bachelor of Science student at the University of Ottawa that can tutor Organic Chemistry at the first-year university level.
My sessions are purely online, I will be using Zoom as well as Microsoft paint to teach. If any accommodation is needed, please direct message me.
Teaching will focus not on what the student is comfortable with, but on what they struggle with the most. Students will need to send questions prior to the tutoring session in order for me to structure a lesson plan around explaining their questions.
Organic Chemistry is a course that requires lots of practice. With this in mind, some sessions can be dedicated to watching over the student while they attempt practice problems and explaining any misconceptions/mistakes they are making.
As a student that has just finished first year, I understand the struggle when learning a content-heavy course such as Organic Chemistry. With this in mind, it would give me great pleasure to work with any student who feels intimidated by this course and provide some tips and tricks to succeed.
