About Annelise
Hi there! My name is Annelise and I am a tutor based out of Tampa. I have been tutoring for 3 years and currently work in the school system, while studying English and writing at the University of Tampa. All students are different, and with that comes different learning styles. I stand behind working with the student to find methods that work for them. Learning is fun and so important. I try to ignite that fire and excitement behind everything we do. Our sessions will build off each other, making sure to secure comprehension. I have a background in yoga and holistic health and recognize the stress that is placed on kids these days. I work with students to help ease test anxiety and how to use deep breathing techniques to remain calm and focused.

I like to take the time to really understand where your student is at, and what it is that is causing some confusion. Whether that is basic understanding of the material, or even how it is presented. Often times we just need someone to slow down and walk us through it outside of a stressful classroom situation. Once I have a grasp on where your student is at we can customize a plan for their success. That could include homework help, comprehension, or test prep. Maybe even a little bit of it all. Something else of importance is keeping the student on pace with the curriculum. Working at a K-8 school I have access to additional resources and study programs that we can apply to our sessions. Let’s keep kids engaged, on track, and reignite their love for learning! It doesn't have to be stressful!
