About Kaviraj

Hello, my name is Kaviraj Selvam. I am an American bachelor’s degree graduate and hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Teaching. I am passionate about education and committed to supporting learners who need guidance, encouragement, and strong foundational skills. Through teaching, I aim to both give back to the community and continue gaining meaningful experience related to psychology and education.

I believe that learning should be patient, supportive, and confidence-building. My goal is to help students strengthen their English reading and literacy skills while developing the self-belief needed to succeed academically and beyond. I am eager to work with each learner, support their individual progress, and help prepare them for their future academic and personal endeavors.

About the lesson

This Basic English Reading and Literacy course is to support primary level students to develop strong, confident reading and language skills. The course focuses on building a solid foundation in reading, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and basic writing, using simple, engaging, and age-appropriate materials.

Students will learn how to recognize words, understand sentences and short texts, improve pronunciation, and express ideas clearly in both spoken and written English. Lessons are structured to be interactive and supportive, helping learners progress at their own pace while gaining confidence in using English in everyday and academic contexts.

This course is ideal for learners who need extra support with reading and literacy or who are beginning their journey toward fluent and confident English use.
