About FREYA

Mandarin Lessons with a Native-Level Speaker (Level 2 Grade A – Putonghua Proficiency Test) Qualifications I hold a Level 2 Grade A certificate from the Mandarin Proficiency Test, which reflects a standard pronunciation and comprehension. As a native speaker of Mandarin, I grew up in the central region of China. My Mandarin has no regional accent and is a good choice for students who have strict pronunciation requirements. I have experience working in the administrative office of 2 university, and I have more communication skills with students. If you are a student of any age who has the intention to learn Chinese, please feel free to contact me. If you are a parent of a girl who needs a female teacher, you are also welcome to communicate with me.

About the lesson

Teaching Approach
My lessons focus on real-life, practical Mandarin. I use visual aids and situational dialogues to help learners understand and speak Mandarin naturally. I also design lessons around students’ personal interests to make vocabulary and sentence patterns more memorable and engaging.

Lesson Focus
Everyday conversations for non-native speakers
Interest-based vocabulary and phrases
For students with some foundation: introduction to basic Chinese character writing
No pressure – just real-world language use and cultural understanding

Who Are These Lessons For?
These lessons are designed for Mandarin learners of any age who are not studying for an exam but are curious about the language. Whether you're a complete beginner or a parent looking to introduce Mandarin as a second language to your child, you're welcome!
