About Delilah
I've been working alongside 13-18 year old students for 15 years. I understand the struggles and motivations behind learning, and I am willing to work with anyone who is willing to put in the work to better themselves. My initial goal for any student is progress. Once students have a goal of their own, my goal is to help them achieve that goal.

I like to help students understand that every skill they learn in English class can be applied to their everyday life, so a big portion of my teaching is relating it back to how they will see or experience it in their current and future lives.
As part of my teaching experience, my model for teaching is "I do, We do, You do". The gradual release model allows for students to internalize the lesson, practice alongside with me, and when they're ready, complete individual work.
Depending on what the student's needs and goals are, content will be prescriptive. However, I do like to use a lot of current events, trends, and pop culture to help students understand based on what they already know.
