About Anthony
I've been playing, composing, recording and performing to a professional standard for more than thirty years. I was introduced to the guitar by a tutor when I started, which saved a great deal of time, and there has been some considerable valuable input from other guitarists over the years. I have teaching qualifications, which although not specifically for guitar, have provided classroom experience across a wide age range and I have taught both on Performing Arts Courses and as a visiting tutor at Godalming College.

I teach beginners on acoustic guitar, firstly with a gentle introduction to the first things you need to know, always with a view to linking the student's often very rapid progress to a satisfying musical outcome. I also run multi-instrumental workshops - for which I will also often provide accompaniment on guitar - and so am pleased to be able to help students to develop their confidence with music from an early stage. My other instruments are saxophone and clarinet. A typical lesson will last an hour.
