About Tatum
I am a hands-on creative based in New York City with experience in set design, graphic design, branding, installation work, visual storytelling, window display design, exhibition design, and all things creative. I enjoy the reward that comes with creating, especially the shift in confidence after completing a once confusing or intimidating project. I personally learn best through mirroring, experimenting, and trying different approaches, which is why I firmly believe not every learning style works for every person. I have a bachelor’s degree in Visual Studies and currently freelance around the city on various creative and visual projects.
I understand the struggle of staring at a daunting project and not knowing where to begin. My goal is to take that pressure away and break things down into a more digestible and approachable process that helps people feel confident enough to just get started, because the details always come later.

My teaching style is very hands-on and beginner-friendly, with a strong focus on learning by doing rather than overwhelming lectures or technical language. I will guide you through real projects step-by-step, helping to problem solve, experiment, and learn through mistakes in a supportive way.
A typical lesson might include getting a hang of the basics, learning hot keys and shortcuts, working on a small creative project together, practicing layouts or branding concepts, and building confidence using the software. I can also help with portfolios, presentations, Canva, pitches, creative school projects, and beginner web design.
What sets me apart is my real-world creative experience in visual design, branding, installations, and portfolio development, along with a relaxed and supportive teaching approach. These lessons are best for beginners, students, creatives, or anyone wanting to learn Adobe programs in a more approachable and less intimidating way.
