  • What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

I started playing tennis when I was young, and it quickly became much more than just a sport for me. Tennis taught me discipline, patience, resilience, and the importance of continuous improvement. I was fascinated by how every practice session could lead to small improvements that eventually made a big difference. Looking back, those early years helped shape my mindset and taught me that success comes from consistent effort and enjoying the learning process.
  • What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you’d still like to discover?

Tennis is undoubtedly my favourite sport and the one I have practiced at the highest level for over 20 years. It combines physical fitness, strategy, technique, and mental strength in a unique way. As a hobby, I enjoy fitness training and running because they help me stay active and support my tennis coaching. A sport I would love to explore further is padel. Its growing popularity and social aspect make it an exciting sport to learn and experience.
  • What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

What motivates me most is seeing progress, both in myself and in my students. I genuinely enjoy helping players develop new skills, gain confidence, and achieve goals they once thought were difficult. Tennis is a lifelong learning journey, and there is always something new to improve. Watching a student execute a technique correctly for the first time or gain confidence during a match is incredibly rewarding and continues to fuel my passion for coaching.
  • Do you have a sporting achievement that you’re particularly proud of?

While personal achievements are important, I am most proud of the impact I have had on my students. Seeing complete beginners develop into confident players, helping juniors build strong foundations, and supporting adults in improving their game while staying injury-free gives me tremendous satisfaction. Every student’s progress feels like a shared achievement, and those success stories are what I value most.
  • How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

Tennis teaches humility as much as success. Through both victories and setbacks, I have learned the importance of patience, adaptability, and continuous learning. Challenges have taught me to analyse problems objectively and find practical solutions, while achievements have reinforced the value of hard work and consistency. These experiences have made me a more understanding coach because I know every player faces different obstacles on their journey.
  • If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

I would choose Roger Federer. He is not only one of the greatest tennis players of all time but also an exceptional role model for sportsmanship and professionalism. I would ask him how he maintained such consistency over a long career, how he adapted his game as he matured, and what advice he would give to young players about balancing ambition with enjoyment of the sport.
  • How do you help people stay motivated?

I focus on making improvement visible and achievable. Every player develops at their own pace, so I set realistic goals and celebrate progress, no matter how small. I create a positive learning environment where mistakes are viewed as opportunities to learn rather than failures. By tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs and ensuring they enjoy the process, I help students build confidence, stay motivated, and continue improving over the long term.
  • What makes you a Superprof in sports?

What makes me a Superprof is my genuine passion for helping people improve. With more than 20 years of tennis experience, I combine technical coaching, practical analysis, injury prevention insights, and personalised training to help every student progress efficiently. I am patient, enthusiastic, and committed to understanding each player’s unique strengths and challenges. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing students develop not only better tennis skills, but also greater confidence, fitness, and enjoyment of the game. For me, coaching is about inspiring lifelong growth through sport.
